Introduction and Acceptance
By booking a tour or service with Orient Travels (“we,” “our,” “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.
Booking and Payment
- Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of the required advance payment as outlined in our Booking Policy.
- Full payment must be made within the specified timelines; failure to do so may result in cancellation of the booking and forfeiture of the deposit.
- Payments are accepted in the designated currency and through approved payment methods only.
- Late or incomplete payments may attract penalties and may impact eligibility for refunds.
Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellations and refunds are governed by our separate Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy. Clients are strongly advised to review these policies before making a booking.
Travel Documents
- It is the traveller’s sole responsibility to ensure possession of valid passports, visas, vaccination certificates, and other required travel documents.
- While Orient Travels may assist with visa processing, issuance of visas is solely at the discretion of the concerned embassy/consulate and cannot be guaranteed.
Health and Fitness to Travel
- Travelers must ensure they are medically fit to undertake the journey and the associated physical demands.
- We recommend consulting a qualified medical professional before travel, particularly for those with pre-existing health conditions.
- Certain destinations may have mandatory vaccination or health requirements, which must be complied with by the traveller.
Accommodation and Transport
- Accommodation and transportation arrangements are made based on availability and package inclusions.
- Standard check-in and check-out timings of hotels apply. Early check-ins or late check-outs are subject to hotel policy and may incur additional costs.
- Room sharing (where applicable) will be arranged, but Orient Travels reserves the right to make substitutions if necessary.
- In the event that original arrangements become unavailable, comparable alternatives will be provided where possible.
Baggage
- Baggage allowances are subject to airline policies and restrictions.
- Travelers are solely responsible for their personal belongings and luggage throughout the trip.
- Orient Travels does not accept liability for loss, theft, or damage to luggage or personal items.
Tour Itinerary and Changes
- All itineraries provided are provisional and subject to change due to local conditions, weather, supplier availability, or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Orient Travels reserves the right to modify tour arrangements when necessary, in the best interest of the traveller and group.
Liability
- Orient Travels acts as a facilitator for services provided by third parties (airlines, hotels, transport providers, etc.) and is not liable for deficiencies in their services.
- We are not responsible for injuries, losses, damages, delays, or additional expenses caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including but not limited to force majeure events).
- Travelers are advised to obtain adequate travel insurance for their protection.
Force Majeure
Orient Travels shall not be held liable or deemed in breach of these Terms in cases where performance is prevented by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, strikes, flight cancellations, or government regulations. In such cases, refunds or alternative arrangements will be subject to supplier policies and may be limited.
Client Conduct
Travelers are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and responsibly during the tour. Orient Travels reserves the right to refuse service or terminate participation in the tour for any client whose behaviour is deemed inappropriate, disruptive, or harmful to others, without entitlement to a refund.
Complaints
Any complaints should be reported to the tour leader or Orient Travels representative at the earliest opportunity so corrective measures can be taken. Formal complaints may also be submitted in writing within 14 days of trip completion.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. All disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
