Refund Policy
Overview
Refunds, where applicable, are processed in accordance with the terms set out in our Booking and Cancellation Policy. The eligibility and amount of any refund depend on the specific conditions of your booking, the timing of cancellation, and the refund policies of third-party service providers (including airlines, hotels, and transport providers) involved in your package.
Alignment with Cancellation Policy
- As per our Cancellation Policy, an initial booking deposit (e.g., Rs. 40,000 per person) is non-refundable, as it covers administrative costs and initial booking commitments.
- Cancellations made closer to the scheduled departure date are subject to higher non-refundable amounts (e.g., 50% or up to 100% of the package value) since supplier costs are often non-recoverable at that stage.
- Any eligible refund (i.e., the portion of your payment that is refundable as per the cancellation terms) will be processed after deducting all applicable non-refundable charges.
Refund Processing Timeframe
The timeframe for processing refunds depends on:
- The original method of payment,
- Processing times of banks or payment gateways, and
- Confirmation of cancellations with third-party suppliers.
While Orient Travels will endeavour to process refunds promptly, please allow several weeks for completion due to external factors beyond our control.
Non-Refundable Items
Certain components of your package are strictly non-refundable, regardless of cancellation timing. These include, but are not limited to:
- Visa application fees (once submitted),
- Air tickets issued under non-refundable terms,
- Hotel bookings or services categorized as “non-refundable” by the provider.
